Palamon scales back fundraising ambitions

The European private equity firm has resorted to raising a bridge fund worth 'around €200 million' to enable it to do deals for the next two to three years

European private equity firm Palamon Capital Partners has resorted to raising a bridge fund worth “around €200 million” to enable it to do deals for the next two to three years after struggling to raise cash in the tough fundraising environment, according to two investors.

The bridge fund is over €450 million smaller than the firm's previous €670 million fund raised in 2006.
