Famous Mansion Sells for Below 1999 Price

The story of high-end real-estate over the past decade could all be told through a single mansion, located at 1370 S. Ocean Blvd. in Manalapan, FL, just south of Palm Beach.

According to an article in the Palm Beach Daily News, the 32,000 square-foot home with 300 feet of waterfront used to be owned by Lois Pope, who husband founded the National Enquirer. It was purchased in 1999 for $15 million by the the self-described "daredevil real-estate investor" Frank McKinney.
