City broker Panmure Gordon hired a new chairman of investment banking in one of the first major appointments under new chief executive Rich Ricci.

The firm named Stephen Winningham as the new chair of its investment bank. A City veteran, Winningham was formerly co-head of European corporate finance at Houlihan Lokey, the mid-market focused investment bank.
