Swiss-based alternative investment firm Partners Group has named Stephan Schäli, currently co-head of private equity, as its chief investment officer as part of an overhaul of its organisational structure.

The reorganisation will see Schäli's former counterpart David Layton become sole head of private equity and join the firm’s executive committee in place of Schäli.
