The Swiss investor Partners Group is selling part of an old fund that invests in other private equity funds, a fresh sign that this type of secondaries deal is on the rise.

The group, one of Europe's largest investors in alternative assets, is selling a portfolio of fund stakes worth €800 million and has hired secondaries adviser Greenhill Cogent to run the process.
