Capital markets veteran leaves Lazard after 24 years

Former head of ECM, who counted Greene King among his clients, retires from independent investment bank

The former head of Lazard's capital markets advisory team in London, and a 24-year veteran of the investment bank, has retired, according to a person familiar with his departure.

Paul Gismondi, 58, recently worked as a senior member of Lazard's capital markets advisory team, and joined the investment bank in 1990 after a short stint as managing director of Manufacturers Hanover, now part of JP Morgan.
