PE firm investors nurse losses since 2006

The large number of investors who have piled into private equity since 2006 are now facing overall losses from the asset class after private equity-owned companies suffered further valuation falls in the first three months of the year, new research has found.

According to research by US financial services firm State Street Corporation, there was a 6.46% drop in the value of private equity firm investments globally in the first quarter of this year.
