Law firms have doubled down on private equity hiring in London despite a slower than expected rebound in deal activity.

A total of 21 private equity partners were appointed in London in the first half of this year, up from 13 in the same period last year and 17 in 2023, according to a report by legal recruitment firm Macrae.
