Pension funds’ optimism overshadowed by regulatory worries

If you work at a pension fund as an investment executive, a manager, a trustee or are otherwise involved in running pension assets, and would like to participate in Financial News's annual Pension Fund Barometer survey, please follow this link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/pensionfundbarometer2011

Rather than stagflation or sovereign debt concerns, Solvency II, auto-enrolment in the UK and other regulation are the biggest worries for European pension funds, according to the preliminary findings of Financial News’ annual Pension Fund Barometer survey.

The Pension Fund Barometer polls 50 of Europe's largest pension funds, covering both defined benefit and defined contribution provision, to gauge their opinions on the conditions they face and their decision-making. It will delve into the investment strategies, the recent performance and the funding status of a wide range of pension funds, in both the public and private sectors, in the UK and in Continental Europe.
