Two pension providers have created friction by declining to take part in the UK Financial Service Authority's latest online comparative table on personal and stakeholder pension products.

Skandia, the Swedish financial services giant, and St James Place, the UK fund management group, have both declined to participate in the table. Skandia says the table does not provide any meaningful base of comparison between different pension providers, because the only indicator it looks at is price.
