George Osborne has vowed to offer “free, impartial” help for all, but the industry is divided on who will provide it

Ever since the Chancellor got to his feet in March and proclaimed all UK consumers would get "free, impartial and face to face" guidance on pensions, two questions have been paramount: Who provides it? And who pays?

Following the Budget bombshell, the government has been keen on the industry's feedback. And with the closure of its consultation yesterday, the answers have begun to come in.
