Perella scores a PR hit

Some of the biggest names on Wall Street gathered last week to pay respects to one of its biggest names – Joseph Perella, the dealmaker who left Morgan Stanley amid the management turmoil last year to start his boutique. While wanting to honour a Wall Street legend, they were probably looking for clues about the prospects for his – as yet unnamed – new firm. Sadly, they left empty-handed.

Guests included Carl Icahn, the activist investor, and Bill Harrison, former chief executive of JP Morgan Chase, according to The New York Times. Perella was presented with the Lincoln Centre's Laureate Award for dedication to the arts.
