Perella Weinberg Partners, the boutique investment bank and asset manager based in New York and London, has won a role advising Swedish telecoms company Tele2 on its sale of its Italian and Spanish operations to UK mobile operator Vodafone for Skr7.1bn (€777m), as the two companies' most frequently used advisers missed out.

It is the first time Perella Weinberg has advised Tele2. The advisory boutique set up in Europe last year by opening an office in London.
