Permira Asia head moves to Hong Kong

Permira has moved its regional chairman from Japan to Hong Kong in a further sign of that the Chinese island city is becoming the most popular headquarters for buyout firms in Asia.

The group has already moved Asia chairman Guido Paolo Gamucci from Tokyo to Hong Kong, but while his relocation was intended to be temporary, it will now be permanent. He had originally moved there several months ago to set up the firm’s office in the country.
