Boutique grabs $4.3bn of brand name deals

Peter J Solomon Company, an independent advisory firm, has acted on two high-profile acquisitions of brand name companies within the past month which add up to mandates worth more than $4bn (€2.9bn).

Yesterday clothing company Phillips-Van Heusen said in a statement it had agreed to buy designer brand Tommy Hilfiger from private equity firm Apax Partners for $3.2bn.
