Phoenix Equity Partners, the middle-market private equity group, has promoted Andrew Deakin, an investment manager with responsibility for the leisure sector, to partner.

Deakin joined Phoenix from Deloitte Corporate Finance in 2001 and has worked on transactions including the 2001 acquisition and 2004 sale of luxury shoemaker Jimmy Choo, netting a return of 3.7 times the money invested.
