Pictet Asset Management has appointed Ann Steele as head of its portfolio construction team, joining from Gartmore Investment Management, and Christel Rendu de Lint as fund manager in fixed income.

Steele will be based in the London office and Rendu de Lint in Geneva. At Gartmore, Steele was senior investment manager for European equities. At Pictet she will work alongside Stephen Burrows, Fabio Paolini, both senior investment managers, Alison Brown and Jane Phipps, both fund managers, all part of the European equity team in London.
