Geneva-based private bank Pictet & Cie said Wednesday it is hiring former consultant Victor Aerni as head of its Zurich-based wealth management operations, the first step in what it expects to be a doubling its current staff of 26.

Swiss-born Aerni, most recently a partner with Boston Consulting Group, begins April 1 as head of Pictet's overall private banking, family office and custody services in Zurich.
