Nicholas Johnson, chief investment officer of Pictet Asset Management, is moving to the new role of chairman of Pictet Asset Management UK, resulting in a number of management changes at the firm.

Johnson's role will effectively be split into two, which will in part be filled by John-Paul Smith, currently head of global emerging markets.
