Pioneer Investments' head of European fixed income Tanguy Le Saout and head of portfolio construction Ali Chabaane have been suspended by the firm, which has alleged they were trying to set up a rival business.

The news was first reported by the Irish Times in Dublin, where Pioneer has its European head office.
