Pioneer Investments, the asset manager owned by UniCredit, has made its first move into the Nordic funds market with the appointment of a head of institutional business in the region.

Mats Langensjö, who joins Pioneer from Aon Consulting in Sweden, will open the group's first office in Stockholm when he joins next month. Prior to joining Aon in 2004, Langensjö was an executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management based in London.
