Pirc slams Aberdeen chief's £2.6m bonus

Corporate governance adviser Pensions Investments Research Consultants has slammed Aberdeen Asset Management for paying its chief executive Martin Gilbert a £2.6m (€3.5m) bonus, equivalent to nearly seven times his salary.

In its weekly bulletin of corporate governance issues, Pirc advised shareholders to vote against Aberdeen's remuneration report at its annual general meeting on Thursday next week.
