Pirc hits out at FRC for 'dragging feet' on pooled funds

Influential investor advisory group has criticised the Financial Reporting Council for failing to heed calls to consider the issue of giving voting rights to investors in pooled funds

Pensions Investment Research Consultants, the influential investor advisory group, has called on the Financial Reporting Council to “stop dragging its feet” on the issue of providing voting rights for investors in pooled funds.

The firm said that it was "both surprising and disappointing" that the FRC had failed to mention the issue in its latest version of the Stewardship Code, a set of guidelines aimed at institutional investors who hold voting rights in UK companies.
