Richard Plackett, formerly of Prudential M&G Investments, has joined the UK Core Equity Team at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM).

At Prudential M&G, Plackett ran the £800m (€1.26bn) Dividend Fund and the £500m Extra Income fund. Prior to this Richard spent eight years at 3i Group plc, the venture capital company.
