Platinum to entice small investors

Platinum Capital Management, the international investment group, has launched a fund of hedge funds to attract smaller investors interested in its funds.

The firm has set the minimum investment in its new fund at £30,000 or $50,000. A spokesman for the firm said: "The minimum has been kept relatively low to accommodate current investor enthusiasm to access the majority of Platinum funds without having to meet each individual underlying fund's investment requirement."
