Politicians have hit out at one of the City’s oldest trading houses for hosting a networking event at the Playboy Club in London, calling the move “inappropriate” and a “spectacularly bad choice”.

Gerald Group, a commodities trading firm, hosted the cocktail party at the exclusive club in Mayfair on Monday October 8. The gathering comes just months after public outcry over the scandal-hit Presidents Club dinner in which the women working at the men-only event were sexually harassed by guests.
