Political uncertainty threatens green investing

Private equity and venture capital investment in the clean technology sector topped a record $1bn (€675m) in the second quarter according to investment bank Jefferies, which warned that the lack of political support for investment could act as a brake on further growth.

Buyout firms and growth capital providers have joined venture capitalists in investing in clean technology, according to Jefferies' latest Cleantech Review, published yesterday.
