Fund managers have had a painful quarter and estimated that overall median performance for UK balanced pooled funds in the second quarter was -8.3% and -9.9% over 12 months.

Data collected by Financial News suggests that the Neptune fund, run by Robin Geffen after assets of his Orbitex fund were transferred earlier this year, will be one of the best performers.
