Portware, a trading technology provider, has appointed Alfred Eskandar as chief executive. He will take over control from co-founders Eric Goldberg and Ary Khatchikian, who move up to become co-chairmen of the firm. Eskandar joins Portware from Liquidnet, the global institutional trading network, where he was a founding employee. He most recently served as head of US equities at the firm. Portware also announced the promotion of Scott DePetris, currently chief operating officer, to president and chief operating officer with immediate effect.
