The government’s £30bn Pension Protection Fund has recruited a new chief of alternative credit.

Sanjay Mistry, formerly an investment consultant specialising in the field at Mercer, will oversee a portfolio of credit fund managers including Apollo Management, Ares Management, BlueMountain Capital and Oaktree Capital.
