Prebon Yamane, the money broker, is suing BGC Partners, a division of rival Cantor Fitzgerald, for damages following the defection of half its staff in Singapore to BGC.

The moves comes after a Singapore court earlier today threw out Prebon's application for an injunction to stop approximately 50 brokers from joining the rival firm.
