The UK's charity watchdog has hit out at the three trustees at the centre of the Presidents Club for failing to protect the welfare of the women working at a scandal-hit dinner hosted by the charity in January.

The Charity Commission criticised the trustees — businessmen David Meller, Bruce Ritchie and Harvey Soning — for failing to act with reasonable care and for exposing the 33-year-old charity to reputational risks.
