Mark Preston, the head of the transport and business services team at Merrill Lynch, has rejoined Deutsche Bank four years after quitting the then Deutsche Morgan Grenfell.

At Deutsche, Preston will be head of UK country coverage, a newly created position to bolster the firm's franchise in the UK market. In his new role, Preston will co-ordinate the client coverage across corporate finance, including M&A, equity capital markets and debt capital markets.
