Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson, the Wall Street law firm, has responded to the European ambitions of its private equity funds and investment banks by relocating one of the firm's most senior mergers and acquistions lawyers to London.

Sandford Krieger is a well-known M&A lawyer among international companies and banks on both sides of the Atlantic. Last year he advised Lazard as financial adviser to Pfizer, the US pharmaceuticals company on its $82bn (€93bn) acquisition of Warner Lambert, its US competitor.
