Brasserie Blanc backer closes fund

London-based Core Capital has raised £85 million for its latest fund after broadening its investor base

Brasserie Blanc backer closes fund

Core Capital Partners, the UK private equity firm that owns French restaurant chain Brasserie Blanc, has closed its second fund at £85 million.

Investors include Adams Street Partners, SL Capital Partners and Access Capital Partners, the London-based lower mid-market firm said Wednesday. The new fund is unusual because £45 million of the £85 million has been used to buy up businesses that were held in Core's first fund or owned by its venture capital trusts.
