The private equity industry has completed a record number of deals this year, according to an industry report.

More than 230 deals have been completed, a 30% increase on the 178 deals conducted in the same period last year, according to data provider Dealogic. The numbers are based on acquisitions including add-on and portfolio transactions, and sales.
