Asset manager F&C Investments has hired a former executive at the European Investment Bank to join its private equity team, as the firm prepares to close its latest mid-market European fund of funds.

David Walker has joined F&C Private Equity Funds as an investment director and will be based in Edinburgh, according to a statement from the firm released on Thursday.
