Swedish private equity firm EQT is considering listing on the public markets, according to a person familiar with the matter, putting it in line to follow in the footsteps of US behemoths such as Blackstone Group and KKR.

The firm has not yet appointed an adviser and may sell a stake in itself instead, the person added.
