Dörte Höppner, the chief executive of the European private equity trade body Invest Europe, is leaving the organisation to join a German law firm.

Höppner, who is a well-known figure in private equity circles and has been named as one of the most influential women in European finance by Financial News on five occasions, had led the trade body since 2011.
