Private equity investors demand transparency

Private equity investors are seeking more transparent fee structures as they become increasingly concerned about how their money is managed, according to a survey from KPMG, the accountancy firm.

Lack of transparency has been of escalating importance to investors over the last two years as they face diminishing returns through lack of exit, yet continue to be charged management fees and carried interest. The report said some investors are choosing to place funds only with those managers that have less opaque fee structures.
