Private equity investors are getting used to lower returns

Intense competition for dealflow and high company valuations are forcing down the returns the private equity is able to generate, FN's sister publication Private Equity Newsreports.

Glenn August, the founder and chief executive of US mid-market private equity firm Oak Hill Capital, told the SuperReturn conference in Berlin that investors are slowly accepting the prospect of lower returns — as long as buyout funds still outperform investments in other asset classes.
