RBS private equity spinout spends it all at once

Pollen Street has now de-emphasised a fundraising to focus on thinking strategically about the future of the business

A private equity firm that was spun out of Royal Bank of Scotland is close to spending the first external fund it has raised since launching more than two years ago.

London-based private equity fund Pollen Street Capital, which spun out of RBS in late 2013, hit a first close - the point at which it can begin spending capital - at over £120 million for its maiden fund in March, according to a statement.
