A big majority of buyout firms use or intend to adopt overdraft facilities, which can boost returns at the fund level, according to the latest Investec Fund Finance GP Trends report.

The report, which polled 76 senior private equity professionals in the UK, Europe, US and Australia, found that 78% of buyout firms either use - or would consider using - fund overdrafts.
