Probe into Ohio pensions widens

An investigation into the $19bn (€15bn) Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation fund was last week expanded into a state-wide probe of its five public pension funds, which have a combined $138bn in assets.

The Ohio bureau has been the subject of a criminal investigation into fund officials accepting gifts and money in exchange for awarding investment contracts.
