Robin Phillips, who today lost out on getting the top job of running HSBC's investment banking division to Samir Assaf, will remain as head of an enlarged global banking division, although will now share the role with Kevin Adeson.
Phillips, who has run HSBC's corporate banking, investment banking, project finance and structured finance teams globally, is a former head of the aviation/airport team at UBS Warburg and head of transport and infrastructure at Citigroup.
