Profits plunge 40% at Singer & Friedlander asset management arm

Singer & Friedlander Investment Management's profits for 2002 fell 40% to £6m (€8.8m) from £10m in 2001.

John Hodson, chairman of the group, said the performance for the asset management division was disappointing, but should be placed in the context of the poor stock market returns.
