Property group considers move into fund management

The chief executive of UK property firm Segro, formerly Slough Estates, said it is considering a move into fund management despite falling property values and fleeing investors.

Ian Coull said at a conference yesterday that the firm was considering the move, which would involve selling a stake in its assets to an investor and receiving a fee to manage the property. The company's portfolio is worth £5.1bn (€6.9bn).
