Prosecutors notify 'defendants' for Antonveneta trial

Milan prosecutors have reportedly called for nine companies and 84 individuals, including the former governor of the Bank of Italy, to stand trial for financial crimes relating to the controversial takeover of Banca Antonveneta last year.

The prosecutors have completed their preliminary investigation first launched in May 2005 and have sent notification to the companies and individuals, according to Dow Jones Newswires.
