Providence to clinch Kabel Deutschland

Private equity giants Apax Partners and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners are set to double their money by selling stakes in German cable group Kabel Deutschland to Providence Equity Partners, in a deal valuing the company at approximately €3.4bn ($4bn).

Providence already owns 32% of the company, with Apax and Goldman owning the same amount and management owning the balance.
