Prudential, the insurer parent of M&G Investment Management, has drafted in the chairman of Citi's European business as one of two new non-executive board appointments.

Sir Winfried Bischoff, who has chaired Citi's European unit since May 2000 and was previously chairman of Schroders, will join Prudential's board tomorrow.
